Re: How To Destroy LCD Screens
local dimming of LCD. It's to save energy. The backlight turns up and down depending on how much light is hitting the screen and how bright the image is. If the reflected light is extremely high it will over max the screen sensor and cause it to reach a 0 level. |

Re: How To Destroy LCD Screens
In language lessons they call such things, "Freebies". You get to "learn" a Russian word for free... With no effort. When I was there imagine my relief when I first had to use a restroom. I knew there was no way they would understand me if I asked for the restroom or a bath room. Those are for the most part American expressions I think. So I told my fiance Ya hachoo toilet. BINGO!. She directed me to a Toilet and sure enough right above was a sign that said:туалет and I knew enough cyrilic to sound it out. I've forgotton most of the Russian I learned but there were a bunch of freebie words. Normal is also Normal. Some letters the same as well but used differently. Like the R is a complete word meaing I and pronouced Ya and backwards. (я) but also used as a letter. The P is used as an R. T is of course just T. N is used as an i and the H is used as the N. SH sounds are represented by the Hebrew Shin letter. The f sound is a circle with a vertical line through it. Here is the word fax. факс The first week I would get headaches since I am a compulsive reader and would be struggling to read signs all day. TV? Forget about it. I fortunately took lots of music and we all enjoyed Tracy Chapman, Macy Grey, Johnny Cash, Dark Side of the Moon and a few others. |
