House in the Treetops
The Korowai people live in the inaccessible jungles of Papua, maintaining their way of life for centuries. Their world is hidden in the dense vegetation, and only local clans have access to it. The Korowai's houses are built at a height of up to 30 meters, protecting them from floods and wild animals. These dwellings are not just a shelter, but also a symbol of skill. The bark walls, woven floors, and leaf roofs make their houses safe. Climbing up to these dwellings requires skill, but for the Korowai, it's a normal part of life. |

An interesting fact is that sleepwalking is unknown in that tribe! |

Reminiscent of Jetsons cartoons: perhaps they were overthinking the necessary tech/distance-into-the-future facets of their world building schema.

Re: House in the Treetops
I’m trying to figure what was used to take the video?! Drone? There’s a bit of a smoke trail? Surely the man singing wasn’t flying?! Or was he!? Cool video regardless. |
