Re: "Hitler's Stealth Fighter" Reborn
I don't know how well it would've flown really. Full blended wing aircraft with no vertical/near vertical surfaces are inherently unstable. If anyone has ever seen the B-2 fly in person it's actually kind of weird to see. It only flies because of it's redundant control systems, the computer always makes constant corrections and movements to the surfaces to keep it stable in flight. It's actually pretty cool to watch it fly and take off and what not so much that people who work on and around hte aircraft still line up to watch it go.

Re: "Hitler's Stealth Fighter" Reborn
Absolutely great post, my friend- as a former history major in college(didn't grad. unfortunately), I find posts like this fascinating. It is SO true, that, if we do not learn from the past, we are destined to repeat it- I often find this possibility disturbing. |
