I had some of the best dark sky viewing. Strip of the milky way. I would love to get into it again. Did you take these? Is that right?

The best views of the Milky Way I have ever seen was in Afghanistan, back in 2002. 10,000 feet above sea level with not a single light for miles and miles. Also, having night vision capabilities helped see a lot more of the light that we cant see with our normal vision. Lots of stars and lots of weird shit out there.... Yes, these are all my photos. I used my Samsung Note 3 with a universal telescope mount for my smart phone and own the NexStar 6SE Computerized Telescope. I was suprised how well they came out.  |

Right? I was at about 6000 ft in a remote desert area. The nebula in the crotch of Orion was amazing. Watching 4 of Jupiter's moons spinning around each other. When you said Samsung Note 3 you got my attention. Pretty amazing shots for 238,855 miles (384,400 km) away. Orion Nebula pic because I wanted one.  ·
