Halloween Flyer Seeks Toys, Not Candy, for Boy With Epilepsy
A father of an 8-year-old boy with severe epilepsy asked his neighbors to give the child a small toy instead of candy when he came trick-or-treating in an Angry Bird costume. The boy followed a ketogenic diet that ruled out candy, so the family bought toys and attached one to each flyer distributed in the neighborhood. The father also asked residents who were not handing out candy to call the family so the unused toy could be collected.
