Half A Horse's Head

Achieved by freezing and band-sawing, this is what a hemisected horse's head looks like. It is a teaching specimen from a vet school, which has a no-kill policy.

All of the animal cadavers used in the anatomy labs are donated by the owners at the ends of the animals’ natural lives.

This alligator is from the same school and sourced the same way: http://www.documentingreality.com/fo...igator-131889/

Re: Half A Horse's Head

Assuming the large round hole on its face is the eye socket, and then assuming the small thing behind the socket is the brain -- that explains a lot about a horse's intelligence.

Re: Half A Horse's Head

Not frozen. Plastinated. Handled many such specimens whilst going through vet school. And yes, horse brains are tiny.
