Re: Goat Having a Seizure
Here comes Christy S.D. (soon-to-be-M.D.) to put a quash to it all......I have seizures as a human, AND I am a pre-med student. I know nothing about veterinarian medicine, but I DO KNOW that a human with seizures, that it DOES hurt. It hurts physically and it pisses me off whevever someone makes a joke about it......my personal feelings. People may laugh about humans, or animals, having seizures, but it is not funny when you have to deal with the shit yourself. Some of you know my personal story related to it and understand why it pisses me right the hell off. I have more compassion for animals than most humans.

Re: Goat Having a Seizure
It wasn't posted to be funny or offensive. I lost an epileptic friend this week. I have witnessed people seizing and it seems like it would be terrifying to go through. I am hoping someone will see the video and offer input as to what the cause could be aside from shrugs from the vet. They don't express symptoms of sickness because it could sell them out to predators so medically they are a major challenge to work with. They can get bloat from being on their side, sometimes she seizes for longer periods and I have to tube her stomach in my kitchen at 3am to get the bloat to subside.

Re: Goat Having a Seizure
Lilyv, I guess I should have detailed more.....sorry about that one! When I was saying that it pisses me off, I meant when I have seizures while I am out in the public or any place not in my home. It is actually quite sad at how people still react to something as well known as seizures and someone having one in their presence. One time I actually had this bitch get offended that I dare have one while she was present......I guess I put her off her lunch!!!! |
