I've been to Gettysburg, you can sense the presence of all those that died, I'm not one of those that walk around seeing auras and shit but it was a palatable feeling of unsettled, incomplete souls all around.
Not exactly creepy, more of awe and sadness and I could feel their confusion and uncertainty, like they weren't sure what was happening either, but we knew each other was there and weren't sure what, if anything, to do about it other than just stand there together.
More interesting than weird, I felt a connection to them, like they wanted us to know what happened, and how sad and wasteful it all was.
I don't think that much energy, like in these pictures, ever goes away
