Thats really cool i like how the ships are all torn down and has wildlife on them. The far birds eye pictures makes it look like islands of the same shape and size

Goverment contracts can be a nightmare, think of the number of craftsmen and unskilled labourers employed for this contract. It ended up being post WW1 and work was scarce so they probably found themselves having to keep going with the folly to keep thousands employed.

I think they should be left to do what they are doing, making vegitation covered islands rich in minerals from the decomposing wood and thus creating a safe haven for wildlife both under and over the water.

Also as all the boilers stc where removed and the wooden hulls where all steam powered there is no heavy fuel oil to contaminate the area
