When they tell you that these incidents are of a fringe sect and they are a religion of peace, just look at their reaction to the terror they condone. It is clear to me that over millennia most wars are fought over religious beliefs.

I think that writings from major religions are subject to interpretation to suit the agenda of the radicals of each.
For instance , we'll hear moderate Muslims say the Koran promotes peace and tolerance as do Christians. It's the radical minority that hate with intolerance.

I believe these people. It is the radical minority's rhetoric that gets the most attention .

I think it is therefore incumbent upon the moderates of each religion to teach the young, often disadvantaged peaceful ways to improve their own situations.
