Re: Fish Cannot Feel Pain Say Scientists
I think all lifeforms, certainly fish, "feel pain", as it is a self preservation mechanism that warns you, "stop doing whatever the fuck you just did, because it is bad for your well being!"...

Re: Fish Cannot Feel Pain Say Scientists
They also have slime coats over their skin, if that coat is scraped away, they can get infections. They need to be able to feel, or they would be scraping against rocks and damaging themselves. Doesn't make sense that they cannot feel, or that it would not result in pain. If not, how would they know to stop a damaging interaction(when not spooked and darting)? |

Re: Fish Cannot Feel Pain Say Scientists
Just about everything on the planet eats each other...that's just the way it is. To say "fish were not created for you to it" is just stupid. They may have not been 'created' for us to eat, but we still need to eat. And just an FYI: Humans have omnivorous teeth...which means we are supposed to eat both vegetation and meat. It doesn't matter if they feel pain or not, as I said above...we still need to eat. I also don't see anyone on here bitching about wolves or crocodiles ripping animals apart while they are still alive. So that's ok, but fishing isn't? |
