Re: The First Typewriter, 1865

The Qwerty keyboard came from a man named Sholes, who was the first to make a practical production typewriter. He made the keyboard in Qwerty in order to slow down the typists. With a logical keyboard, they kept jamming the mechanical keys, they were going so fast. He had to find a way to slow them down, so the machine could complete each letter, so he tried the Qwerty keyboard, and it worked very well.
