what is "adebo"? I guess due to dirty snowball theory: the radiation from the sun heats up mostly the surface of the comet. But also some of the interior. see YT vids on this. Anyway due to ultra low pressure despite low T the water in form of ice can melt or sublimate : hence water vapour. the vapour is the conveyor. The ratio of dust to water is 4, so you can work out the amount of dust being emitted as in augustus there should be 1.2 l per sec water vapour pouring out. the closer to the sun the hotter it gets. I suspect they found spectral lines of H2CO3 and carbonates liek CaCO3 due to CO2 in the spectrum of the emitted water. |
