Re: First Images of Pluto

^ People are stupid. They expect us to see the flag with a telescope.
with a telescope? that, i've never heard of.

the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter took pics though and they are still standing. it took pics of the rover tire tracks as well.

what i like is the Lunar Laser Ranging Experiment.

It's been said here a few times. Even Hubble & Gran Canarias won't see a flag on the moon.

Re: First Images of Pluto

Why are there no trees nor people any more on Easter Island?
The Cold war times are over. It has been pushing USSR and USA over the edge.
You need to look at Easter Island with google earth.
Tennis courts, Hotels, homes, shopping malls.

i looked it up and you're correct. that's why they used the orbiter. hubble isnt all that big...it's just a space based telescope.

ground based r ok but space based like hubble dont need to worry about weather or atmosphere issues that make the stars twinkle at night.... and the reason these telescopes can see galaxies and not pluto or a flag on the moon is size....
