Yes, it is true. There was even a German investigation by the BKA that found out that the manuscript is de facto containing these extra notes, written by her father Otto Frank. Even the Official Anne Frank Memorial Website in Amsterdam, Netherlands is mentioning this fact.

If you ask for the authenticity of Anne Frank's diary in Germany, you are liable to prosecution because the Jews will call you an anti-Semite and Holocaust denier. This contradiction is being exploited by many Neo Nazis to deny the Holocaust at all. But I think it should be allowed to ask for authenticity of documents... You can't be made a thought criminal only for investigating the history, right?
