Eurasian Eagle Owl Likes to Land on People's Head Doing a Dance
An owl that likes to land on people’s heads has rocketed a small Dutch town to fame.
Menno Shaefer, a 48-year-old from Zaandam, Netherlands, managed to document this friendly 6lb (2.7kg) Eurasian Eagle Owl as it tried to roost on the heads of onlookers in Noordeinde town. There, it sat for up to a minute before looking for another resting spot.
In the video it lands on a woman's head and does a small dance.

I don't think Eagle Owls are a native of the Netherlands, as well as here in the UK. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this would be an escaped captive bird. Beautiful tho!!

official name is eurasian eagle owl so changed that in title and indeed it's probably an escaped owl as the tail feathers are too ruffed-up as that happens when the owl hangs from the fencing of the aviary and uses his tail as support.

Owls are gorgeous. There's a load of tawny owls near us

The tawny owl is an owl the size of a pigeon. It has a rounded body and head, with a ring of dark feathers around its face surrounding the dark eyes. It is mainly reddish brown above and paler underneath. It is a widespread breeding species in England, Wales and Scotland but not found in Ireland. Birds are mainly residents with established pairs probably never leaving their territories.
