The Earth has been through countless Tropical Ages and Ice Ages since it was created. This natural cycle will never stop. Man likes to get neurotically caught up in some self-important mental construct in order to escaped the gnawing awareness of his unimportance and the incredible fragility of his short existence. Globally, it gets increasing hotter for a period of time and then it gets increasingly cooler for a period of time. It doesn't mean anything and Man isn't that important. And...death is coming no matter what neurosis you employ as a distraction. |
