These pooches looked like a right dog's dinner when they were caught on camera shaking out their wet fur.
The animals can be seen gurning and with hair flying through the air in extraordinary freeze-frame images.

The snaps were taken by Carli Davidson, 30 - who said she either used friends' pets or animals she saw in the street.

And she made the mutts react by whispering into their ears or spraying them with a little water.

Married Carli - who started photography aged 14 - said she wanted to see how the dogs looked in "stopped motion" images.

And the animal lover, from Portland, Oregon, US, said: "I never expected the results to be so hilarious."
