That isn't fake. I don't believe so anyway. Why couldn't a head 'live' if the brain were still intact and receiving everything it needed to react? Of course it's not really 'alive' because as soon as that machine is switched off it's inanimate. But I bet since then they have come much further with experiments using animals. Poor thing. Such a cute dog. I don't get what the point of it is though. I mean who really would want a head transplant, because then you would have someone else's brain and you wouldn't be 'you' with your memories and thought processes. So, what is the point of the experiment?

If your brain could be kept alive while they grew you a new (cloned?) body, then transplanted, you could live forever, barring accidental death. Just sayin'
