Dog Buried Alive
This is a sad story to start with but a story with a happy ending. A man, Pedro, was out walking his dog (a Lab, I think) when he noticed something in the dirt at the side of the path. Upon inspection he found a dog buried up to it's next...and it was still alive. Pedro began to dig the dog out, with the help of his own dog. The buried dog, a 10 year old female French Mastiff, was dehydrated and probably in shock. But the worst was yet to come for Pedro as he dug. The Mastiff wore a collar that was attached to a short length of rope. At the end of the bit of rope was a buried plastic bag full of gravel. The Animal authorities were called and attended the scene before rushing the Mastiff of to a vet clinic. The police were notified and managed to track down the dog's owner: a 21 year old male, who denied any involvement. Under France's Animal Cruelty Act the man was sentenced to jail-time and fined. As for the Mastiff, she fully recovered from her ordeal and was named "Athena" by her vets care-givers. Athena has since found a new home. Carrieres sur Seine (just outside of Paris), France, August 2, 2015. |

Re: Dog Buried Alive
That's a big doggie and a lot of dirt. It took some effort to do such a vile act. Evil bastard!

Re: Dog Buried Alive
Sounds like a guy that needs to be severely beaten with a baseball bat. Poor baby girl. So glad she was helped and found a new home. |

Re: Dog Buried Alive
My first dog was a goldie that was a pure outside-dog. My ex would not allow her in the house. But her compensation was 23-acres of domain. Loved that dog until she died. Now that my wife is now an ex, I have a boston-terrier/chihuahua mix that lives in my house. I have had a revelation. I love all animals, but I thought I was a cat-person. That crazy-awesome little bitch has helped me realize I love dogs [a little bit more] and cats. I am so glad this dog survived. |
