LOVE the pics! Neat to see the inside of something so small, good change of pace from the decapitated and mutilated humans we see

Re: Disected Rat

Murderers usually start with animals, I hope this is a last for you.

I see no point to what you did, but then again without curiosity we would have no medical knowledge whatsoever.

If you ever develop ill feelings please seek help though OK?.

I don't understand the "freeze/drown" comment either, surely just freezing it would be more humane?.

Sorry I just don't get it.

You always get someone on here who's gotta make a comment..
What else was I supposed to do with it? I wasn't allowed to feed it. It was highly malnourished; probably wouldn't have been able to eat again. It had sustained a far fall, so if it would have lived, it probably would have had brain damage.
It was obviously suffering, so I euthanized it.
I drowned/froze it because I thought a combination of the two would've killed it quicker. Meaning I put it in extremely cold water.

Re: Disected Rat

It's not a very happy story >< It was a feeder rat for my snake. He refused to eat it. I was forbidden from getting it food, to feed it, because it was food it's self.
It got far too malnourished, as well as sustaining a fall, and was suffering. So, because I was ALSO forbidden from making CO2 in the house I had to freeze/drown it. The combination killed it very quickly though.
I wanted to dissect it because I've been looking for a dead animal to dissect for a while now...
Also, I didn't want it to go to waste. My snake refuses dead rats.
Great second post. I HATE rats and as far as I'm concerned it isn't an animal but a pest.
