This is horrible, The first time they show the elderly dog standing with the pup's body hanging off it looks so weak and unhappy. It's amazing that they managed to do it, but at the same time I feel so sorry for the animals haing to endure the process. I can't see it being particularly good for long term though, the smaller dog's muscles would most likely waste away to nothing, without t being able to use it's legs properly and the larger dog would have a large amount of excess strain on it's neck, back and shoulders with the weight of the other dog. I imagine it would have an effect on it's balance too. These would only be amplified if the dog was older. =( Poor things. |
