the body starts moving around erratically like it felt the pain of the bite, yet the brain/spine had been severed. Can anyone explain this?

This whole video is quite shocking.

I especially hated the part when the guy says to the snake "why you bite yourself" like you didn't just cut his fucking head off. Stupid hick. Poor snake. Very cool though.

I watched it again and you're absolutely right, the body does acknowledge the pain and reacts to it.

Very freaky. How the hell can that happen without a brain attached?
