All that was left of Treadwell was his head with some spine and part of his right arm and hand with his watch still on. The ultimately irony of Treadwell's tale is that he insisted that he was protecting the bears and his actions caused the death of one of the very bears he was protecting along with him and his girlfriend. From what I recall he stayed in the reserve too long and older bears who have struggled to gain enough sustenance for the winter will roam looking for easy pickings. I don't think Tim carried repellent either, because he didn't believe in it. |

Anyone find any new pictures of this? They said his head was ripped off his body with just a hand full a vertebra attached and the top of his head was tore open with his skull exposed.

Also the photo shows that he has shoes on.When the pilot discovered the bodies he also found their shoes still outside their tent.
