De Loys' Ape

A humanoid ape-like creature encountered, shot and photographed by a group of men on an expedition in Venezuela in 1920 led by Swiss geologist Francois De Loys.

Francois and his team had set up camp near the Tarra river following a journey in which a number of his men had perished. According to their account the group were suddenly attacked by two large humanoid ape creatures that wielded branches and howled menacingly at them. Shocked, the men opened fire on the creatures, killing one of them and injuring the other which disappeared back into the forest. Examining the body of the dead creature Francois noted that it was unlike anything he had ever seen before.

Re: De Loys' Ape

They posed the creature by seating it on a crate and propping a stick under its chin. After taking a single photograph, de Loys reported, they skinned the creature, intending to keep its hide and skull. Both items were later abandoned by the troubled expedition.

According to other reports, more photographs were taken but were lost either in a flood or during the capsizing of the scientists' boat.

Re: De Loys' Ape

this is a fake event. they clearly said that they killed a female and the male escaped....and took a pic of the female before disposing of it... this is were it gets stupid. 1st look at the pic. is that a female? no, it's got a big fucking cock hanging out. next, they were geological surveyors. do u think they would destroy the animal and only keep its skull and hide.....and of course they mysteriously lost the skull (no evidence kept). another dumb ass thing is that they took more pics...but only 1 was left (this one), and also in the pic...which is not clear in this is the banana tree stump which is not grown in Venezuela. all in all a hoax. i think it's a dude dressed up as a monkey in a glorious costume.
