The Dark Side of The Food Industry

This image is good reason to become vegan. It makes me sick when I eat fried chicken & find a broken leg bone. It makes me wonder if the animal suffered for me to eat. I have cut way down on meat because of this. I wish I could afford to only buy meat from certified animal friendly,organic farms- there are some out there. Until then, i will continue to reduce my meat intake because of the abuse.

(Hopefully this does not get me into trouble with the no animal abuse rule. The food industry doesn't see it as abuse. They see it as providing a product, regardless of the physical pain & suffering caused by the production process. Most people aren't aware of grevious injuries caused, or the fact that many animals suffer needlessly to provide "the product". There is a better way & if we truly consider ourselves to be civilized people then we need to speak out. There is a small, but growing, voice of opposition regarding animal cruely in the food industry. Knowledge is power.)

Animals' Angels documented the horrible mistreatment of a downed cow at an auction in Pennsylvania.The auction employees used a bobcat, a fork lift and excessive electric prodding trying to make her move.

The carnage is not restricted to slaughter houses. This is even more horrible to me because dolphins are so intelligent
