Re: The Dark Side of The Food Industry
*so I will get in trouble for sharing these? Thatz a crying shame. This is deep cold reality everyone should know about. Itz not about beating the family dog. O well, I guess I better stop then. I had found more really good ones. Was going to include the faces of death clip, some sharks having their fins sliced off & thrown to their death, a few others. Maybe a few will see before they shut me down. I appreciate the heads up* |

Re: The Dark Side of The Food Industry
*thanks Kanda- I was hoping this would not be viewed as abuse as the animals are being slaughtered for food, but it is abuse in the very worse extreme. Just because they are going to be consumed doesn't means they should be treated with such malice & hatred. Thanks for viewing & thanks 4 the heads up. I will try to follow the rules. Not always easy 4 me but I don't want 2 get banned* |

Re: The Dark Side of The Food Industry
You are screwed no matter what you eat. Unless you grow it yourself from heirloom seeds you may be eating genetically modified food. Even companies that produce organic meat still use modern techniques in slaughter. Even organic can and is contaminated with this crap when one farmer grows organic and the guy next door grows GMO and they cross pollinate.

Re: The Dark Side of The Food Industry
I bought my first computer and got internet service for the first time in my life 30 months ago. One of the first things I researched was something I was told many years ago that I found very hard to believe and that was that the pesticides found in flea collars for pets end up in pet food because dead pets with these collars still on are ground up and used for protein in pet food. Guess what I learned when I researched "rendering"? · |

Re: The Dark Side of The Food Industry
^^ this exactly!!! i was making a point in a different thread earlier about how disgusting our food is...how skim milk has titanium dioxide (the same pigment used in paint) to make it whiter. that margarine isnt yellow until it's bleached and tinted.... that flour isnt white until bleached with chlorine. makes me sick to think about.

Re: The Dark Side of The Food Industry
I know for a fact they grind up any and ALL dead animals they can to put in pet food. About 45 minutes up the road from me is one of those processing places that grinds up the animals, they complained once when a giraffes hooves got caught in the grinder. |
