Country Store 1939 to Present

Country store on dirt road. Sunday afternoon. July 1939. Gordonton, North Carolina. Kerosene pump on the right and gasoline pump on the left. Rough, unfinished timber posts have been used as supports for porch roof. Brother of store owner stands in doorway. Photo by Dorothea Lange. Found at /r/historyporn, posted by /u/texanwill.

One family took photos of what this area looks like now, you can see them at Panoramio; photos by coleimage.

Re: Country Store 1939 to Present

Yay! I found the location of the dead body first...so what's my prize?

There is a broken spade like implement and, wait for it...a lone shoe (no flip flops back then kids) under the walkway on the right side in the first B&W picture...

It could be a pictorial version of 10 little happy boys sitting on the porch....thwack dingggggggg there was 9 little happy boys and so on looks like it could be number six underneath as there's still 5 and the evil storekeepers brother left....
