Really amazing doc; makes you realise how huge Russia is when you remember this prison sits in a forest THE SIZE OF GERMANY  And is at least 7 hours drive from anywhere. The mother who came to visit her son had embarked on a round trip of 5000 miles to see him!!! Jesus...even if you could escape from there, where the fuck could you go lol? You might as well be on the moon. I bet theres never any riots there, in such a hostile outside environment the prison is infinitely preferable!! The part which confused me a little was that they get 25 year sentences yes? Is that for each crime? As there were some pretty old guys in there who had been in there for 40 years, I think one of them said? But yet another guy who had murdered said he would be getting out in 5 years having served 20 already? 25 years commuted for all sentences seems a bit lenient considering some of these guys have killed more than once.
