Chicken Embryo Stages

The embryo is seen on top of the yolk (yellow), which provides it with nutrients as it develops. Its eyes (black) have formed, along with its legs. The chick is surrounded by the amnion membrane which helps to protect it.  Chicken embryo on the 17th day of incubation. At 21 days old, chick hatches from the egg.  · |
