Camera Obscura (latest Photo Project)
Alright, here's an ancient photographic technique I've been toying with recently...Camera Obscura The Camera Obscura (literally "dark room") was invented around 700BC and was used to help accurately carve/draw inverted and reversed panoramas. Later the technique was refined by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce and Louis Daguerre to create the worlds first photographs. Okay, so here how it works...I blacked out the window in my bedroom and cut a small hole for light to get through. The image that is projected into the room is reversed and inverted. In effect I turned my bedroom into a large camera (Camera Obscura). It also is the exact same way that our eyes work (our brain just flips the image on our retina properly...can't get my bedroom to do that for me yet Static pics: 1st pic - Before 2nd pic - After setting up the Camera Obscura (Both pictures show some vignetting as I was using a wide-angle lens.) Animations: 1st GIF: Before, After 2nd GIF: Ambient light from another room, 100%, 50%, 0% |

pretty cool me friend pretty cool. I might have to try this, as other than being a career fireman I am also a photo photojournalist. Would like to know exactly how you did it. did you project the image or is it just the light coming in. had a couple beers hence the questions

Thanks for the comment. Stereo photos aren't something I've worked with either.
