A young bull moose repeatedly approached a life-size bronze moose statue in the front yard of a home in Grand Lake, Colorado, in early June 2013. The statue had been installed about a week before the animal began showing interest in it.

The moose was seen nuzzling and mounting the statue. A photograph shows the live bull standing on its hind legs over the statue, which was positioned on a rock in a wood-chip bed outside a log-sided home. The bull had short velvet antlers, while the bronze figure had large palmate antlers.
