Im a box turtle loving redneck. I've stopped several times on road medians and then ran through heavy traffic to save ones that have been stuck on the road, mostly happens in the spring time, or when areas of wetlands are destroyed. This video made me sick, I cannot stand to see a hurt animal, humans i have no problem with, but injured animals, especially due to cruel humans, makes me utterly furious and incredibly sad. I could only make it a few seconds through the video before I was too sickened. I have had (dog) people tell me to kill my cat because he peed on my rug they would laugh and were quite serious as well, yet I'm the sick one because i watch gore. These turtles are all over East Texas, one time i ran across a couple of them fucking in the woods, they both went into their shells but remained in bucking position

Oh that’s just awful. We have a red eared slider named Bob; he was rescued from an apartment in our complex. He has become as much a member of our family as our cats, dogs and fish. I couldn’t imagine doing anything to intentionally hurt them. Turtle racing? Really? Don’t they have nascar or some shit to watch? btw, this is Bob :)
