Re: The Beauty of Space Photography
Absolutely awesome On a side note, you know the film 2001: A Space Odessey? There were no images of the earth then yet they did that film so amazingly with imagination alone. Sci-fi has now a lot to be thankful for with footage like that! |

Re: The Beauty of Space Photography
maybe they are shocked because to this day, to my knowledge, there is no picture of the universe. we don't even know how far the universe extends or if it is infinite without boundaries. we have only seen our little corner of the universe. there is so much more of it we haven't seen. i would love to see a picture of the universe. sorry, i'm nitpicking here being literal as to what you said even though i knew what you meant. i had previously seen photos where it was mentioned that the color had been added to the photo. so i had figured the added color was just random to make the photo more eye appealing. it is interesting to now know that there is some scientific logic at work behind those added colors. i have no doubts that there is life out there somewhere. we are not even a speck of dust in the universe. life similar to ours wouldn't be a big surprise either. is there intelligent life out there? you betcha! there is proof. the proof is that they haven't come here. |

Re: The Beauty of Space Photography
Exactly, who would visit a peaceful race like us. They have most certainly checked us out, to find out what kind of self-destructive bunch of yahoos we are. But i have hope, one day we will meet others, perhaps when we have mastered the skill of living in peace with each other. I'm sure they notice.
