In Ethiopia, the Banna tribe, whose total population is less than 50,000, children learn to use stilts skillfully from an early age. This is not only a unique cultural tradition of the Banna tribe, but also a practical one. Stilts can help people avoid attacks by wild animals and provide a better view for herding cattle. |
