Real nunchaku moves look like this
The nunchuks here are long, very heavy, and gripped, correctly, at 3/4 length of each stick to accentuate lever, and thus force, and have longer reach. Each one of the swings can break the opponent's skull open, break their hand, an elbow or a knee.
People flailing 50gr, short chain nunchuks ultra close to their body by grabbing them near the chain are not actually using it as it's supposed to be used. They're doing party tricks, or movie BS move. They're doing nunchak twirling baton.

Unless demonstrated otherwise, these people do not know how to fight with nunchakus.
