Re: The Armenian Genocide (1914-15)
Ironically, it's about the same with the French, Germans and Americans concerning the Normandy. Although they still doesn't love us again ( |

Re: The Armenian Genocide (1914-15)
And now, March of 2010, this is still plaguing Turkey. They and the incident, are very much in the news. Having been at the Port of İskenderun, Turkey while running a PS (private ship), I can tell you this is a taboo subject whilst visiting the area. Also, thank you all for the wonderful post. I am working my way from the last page to the current pages. Good job to all.

Re: The Armenian Genocide (1914-15)
Years ago in Fresno California (the highest density of Armenians in the country) I met Lindy Avakian, who wrote "The Cross and the Crescent." He died not too long after that, but we spoke at length about it and bought the book. The most upsetting part about it is that the West is apologizing to the world and accepting it's place as the "most evil and cruel empire" in history, when if we know our history we wouldn't demoralize ourselves in that way. This demoralization is in the media and in the schools....why would a country do that to itself? We convict ourselves and we bend over backwards for Islam because we don't know the truth. |

Re: The Armenian Genocide (1914-15)
Im currently doing a report on Armenia for one of my literature classes, I also attend a Turkish High school. It was un known to me that Turkey was invloved so much with Armenia when i signed up fr that country. Apperently, Turkey has invaded Armenia so many times, everything abut both countrys are exactly identical. This country has never truely defended themselves because the Turkish army was so big. I hate those bastards.
