Arin Andrews and Katie Hill were a transgender teenage couple from the Tulsa, Oklahoma, area who met at a support group for transgender teenagers. They went public with their relationship in November 2012. Hill, a trans woman, had undergone gender-affirming genital surgery at 18 after a donor paid for the procedure. At the time the couple first drew attention, Andrews, a trans man who was 16, was taking testosterone but had not undergone surgery. He later had chest surgery in Cleveland, Ohio, in June 2013.

The couple posed for portraits outdoors and on a green sofa, hugging, holding hands, laughing and kissing. Other photographs showed them as children before their transitions.
