In the 2000's and early 2010's, Loni Willison, born on May 21, 1983, was a prominent American swimsuit and fitness model. She regularly graced the covers of fitness magazines such as Glam Fit and Iron Man, attended red-carpet events and worked as an assistant at a plastic surgery clinic in Beverly Hills.

Her public profile rose significantly when she married Jeremy Jackson, an actor best known for his role on the hit television series Baywatch.

The marriage between Willison and Jackson was highly volatile. In 2014, the relationship collapsed following a severe domestic dispute at their LA home where Willison sustained major physical injuries, including broken ribs. Although she did not press charges against Jackson, the couple divorced shortly after.

Following the divorce, she lost her job at the medical clinic and modeling opportunities dried up. Falling into severe debt, she was evicted from her apartment and also lost her vehicle.

By 2016, Willison had become completely homeless. In 2018, paparazzi photos shocked the public when she was discovered completely unrecognizable, pushing a shopping cart, missing teeth, and scavenging through dumpsters for food in Venice Beach.

Despite multiple attempts by family, friends, and specialists to place her in rehabilitation programs or secure her housing, she consistently refuses assistance, asserting that she wants to live entirely on her own.

Willison explained to reporters that she deliberately avoids showering and keeps herself as dirty and foul-smelling as possible. She stated that this acts as a defense mechanism to prevent herself from being targeted or sexually assaulted while sleeping on the streets.

Because of her ongoing psychological trauma and paranoia, she has expressed an intense fear of modern indoor spaces, preferring to live permanently outside.

Willison, now age 43, remains on the streets of Los Angeles, continuing to push her cart through neighborhoods like Venice Beach and Santa Monica, existing as a tragic symbol of how quickly a life can change without sustained, accessible mental healthcare.
