Dutch illustrator Ramon Bruin brings personality as well as technical ability to his work.

His vivid snakes, spiders and birds have a gothic quality about them that makes the fact they're jumping out of the page rather alarming.

Bruin is also good at adding other objects like candles, pencils and even his own hand to interact with the drawings and heighten the 3D affect.
