They do have them here in Louisiana, it sucks when you are fishing, they constantly break your line. Fried gar nuggets are myfavorite way to eat them, but there are alot of ways to cook them, just like any other fish...

We have a crap load of them in Florida in the lakes and swamps behind my mothers land. Nasty things >.<.
