Oddly we have a number of brown bear sitings/encounters here in Southern California. The experts say that it's been well over one hundred years since a brown bear has killed anyone, but I don't think tempting fate (or the bear) would be wise.

If there's grizzly's in California - I think that's great.

I can understand how people would be terrified - but this was their home. I think they should be here.

Then again, I live in Northern California - in the forest - so bears have always been my neighbors.
