I love exploring abandoned places.

Went to an abandoned gold mine 15 years ago, very interesting walk to get there.

Ive been around a couple of these old prisons in France and one in Germany (if memory serves) but they were open as a "Ghost house" style place, so it wasnt as cool.

This reminds me of Chernobyl city.

This rocks! I've read 'The Gulag Archipelago' from Solzhenitsyn a few years ago and through his stories I can recognize this a bit. Very interesting post. Thanks.
Just googled the books...thanks alot...can't wait to get them and start reading.
