Nguyen Thi Dinh, is an 87-year-old woman from Ben Tre Province, Vietnam, and has famously gone nearly 7 decades without cutting or washing her hair.

Her hair has formed into a massive, matted dreadlock resembling a python that stretches 19.6 feet in length.

At age 19, she experienced severe illness and debilitating headaches after getting a haircut. When medical treatments failed, she noticed her health improved as her hair grew back, leading her to believe that cutting or washing it would cause her pain to return.

Over the decades, the hair became completely matted into a singular, heavy mass. Because of its immense weight and length, it severely restricts her physical movement, leaving her largely dependent on family members for daily care.

Because Nguyen Thi Dinh's hair has never been officially measured and verified by Guinness World Records, she does not hold the title as Xie Qiuping (China) with a hair length of 18 ft 5.54 inch officially holds the Guinness World Record for the longest female hair ever recorded, measured in May 2004.
