Re: 21 Vintage Animal Photos (with Info)
1977: A twenty-seven year old cat celebrates her birthday, an age equivalent to 189 in human terms obviously the writer was going by the old belief that a year is equal to seven years for a cat. if this were true... 3 and 1/2 year olds (humans) would be sexually mature and capable of reproduction. according to the guestimate of this chart which only is a guideline, the 27 yr old cat would be approximately 128 in human years. but either way, its an old old cat!!!! just had to mention that. nice post! love the pics and the info to go with them. here is a pic of a parisian woman and her cheetah. 1932 appears one could take their pet cheetah everywhere they went. now even a domestic animal (except seeing eye dogs and other animals that help the handicapped) are banned from more places than they are allowed. obviously the exotic, wild and known to be dangerous animals being allowed in public places didn't seem to slow the human population growth any so why is there such a big problem with tame domestic animals?probably the people in the public places have more diseases and are more hazardous to our health than domestic dogs, cats and other pets. |
