Great vid ~ Thank you. Other than the obvious, like design, seatbelts, air bag etc etc. Watching the internal slow mode vid of the 2009 Chevy you can see how the Crumple zones worked to perfection by the way the dash stayed intact, in the 1959 model everything continued to move forward and crumbled around the driver. |

General Motors in the late 1950s and early 1960s all had x frames [I think??????] The testing was done on behalf of an insurance company to awaken people’s knowledge RE: O It’s not knocking vintage vehicle owners or holding x frames vehicles up as an example.There’s nothing better than loving, owning and driving an older vehicle. Like the old fords had timber frames built by coachbuilders. The motor vehicle industry changed with advancements of materials and design. IIHS crash tests a 1959 Chevy, was it a set up?
