It is something to behold even seeing it today. Very surreal and frightening to be in the vicinity, a visual reminder that the power of nature is immense, as you know so very well. I love this photo, basically all they did at the time was to clear the railway and that's all they've ever really done. Awesome place to see. They have made a trail through the rocks and at some places your standing on homes covered with boulders that still have the bodies of those trapped and all you see is a little part of the house below you! Over mining of Turtle mountain caused the slide. Highway 2 through Crowsnest pass is a blast to drive through. |
