As already mentioned. Tests carried out on all of the most well known skulls (Mitchell Hedges being one of them) have proven beyond doubt that they were created using (semi)modern tooling methods, as indicated by marks left on the crystal. They are therefore fake and far from as old as indicated previously. |

And, all prominent examples were created using modern tooling methods. Including the one found by the aformentioned lady - Anna Mitchell-Hedges. The previous owner of the most infamous of these skulls. |

Very interesting.  I remember seeing something about this on "In Search Of" when I was younger. That show was hosted by Leonard Nimoy, a.k.a. Mr. Spock, so it had to be logical!!  |

I finished reading Arthur C Clarke's Mysterious World the other day, an old book from my dad's massive collection of paranormal / mysteries collection, and the crystal skulls were mentioned in there. Fascinating stuff.

not all of them, there is an old lady who owns one that won't let anyone near it close enough to take a decent picture or do any tests haha. |
