12 Christians have been nailed to crosses in the Philippines to mark Good Friday.

Nails were hammered into the hands and feet of the Christians who then spent a few minutes painfully re-enacting Jesus Christ's crucifixion.

Mary-Jane Mamangun insisted she felt no pain when the 5cm nails were hammered into her hands and feet.

But her face full of pain whilst on the cross, as well as her trip to the medical tent afterwards, told a different story.

I have no clue what to think of this. I feel it's fanatical at the least and wish people would just simmer down on the religious rites of passage whether they be over the top or just plain non relevant.
