The $100 Guitar Project
Two guitar players Nick Didkovsky and Chuck O'Meara bought a cheap guitar for $100. Their goal was to get as many guitar players as they can to record a single piece of music on the $100 guitar. That is the problem with cheap guitars...they are cheap...when I bought my electric I remember the hassles I had being a tech for a kiss tribute band for the summer. They had cheap piece of shit equipment and I ALWAYS got shit for it being out of tune or improper tone.,...I threw my misgivings to the wind and bought a 4000 dollar Carlos Santana edition PRS. It is by FAR the best axe I have ever played and it still sits right in front of me. Anyone that is my bud that plays asks how much it cost and they almost choke when I tell them...they think I am fucked until they play it and they know then where the money went!

I owned a bunch of guitars years ago when in the band, the best one i had was a Samik V that cost me $350. Stayed in tune and sounded fucking sweet when using the bridge pickup. Suprised the shit out of me that my BC Rich Bitch didn't sound as good but cost me twice the price. Even the Fender i had didn't have the cool sound the Samik did.

I have too and the one style I will NEVER get again is a floating bridge Floyd Rose.....those fucking things drove me batshit crazy back in the day. My PRS is so slick to play man you would be amazed and the tone is totally customization....open to do whatever you want to do with it

 I had one too, fucking nightmare to set up. Then you'd change to a different gauge of strings and have to go through the whole prosess again. I much preferred the fixed bridge on my V, while you still had to set the string height on them they were much quicker and easier to set up. |

That guitar looks surprisingly close to a Japanese brand called Norma. I have a '65 strat model with the same overall design, rocker switches and chrome cover over the tremolo. I got mine for changing the spark plugs in a friends car. I play it once in awhile and it's always amazingly in tune and has a real nice warm tone.
